Add a little love to your health & fitness routine <3

I get it.  You want results..and you want them NOW!

You think that programs with weekly weigh ins, a trainer who screams at you, or a 30-day challenge will give you just that: results!

I've seen the effects those programs have on you.  Stressing out over a weigh in because (gulp) you gained weight this week.  You are on the verge of tears just thinking about what your coach will tell you..and that's not counting all the negative self-talk you've been having with yourself!

Skipping and ultimately quitting a fitness class because the music's too loud, the trainer screams too much..and darn it, you are NOT doing this to fit into your skinny jeans. (Not JUST for that reason, anyway!)

And, what about those crazy 30-day plank/squat/no junk challenges..Seriously, I've been working out for years and there's no way I can hold a plank for 5 minutes - let alone build up to it in one month! The are setting you up for failure..and for feeling like a failure.  NO WAY!

Let me ask you this: Do you think that going on this journey with a friend could, perhaps, be more beneficial or, better yet, what if you were your friend through this journey?

  • Screaming
  • Humiliating
  • Negative self-talk
  • The question ''Why didn't you lose any weight'' at your weekly weigh ins

Is this really what you want? Is this really what you need?

Is this how you would treat a friend?

So, maybe you need some tough love once in awhile.  You think that without it, you would have no motivation or willpower to go through with all of this health & fitness stuff.  Are you sure about this?  What if you had a friend who supported, motivated you and gave you the occasional pat on the back for all of your hard work?  

*You've hated your body for as long as you can remember.

*You've punished yourself with diets and extreme workouts for as long as you can remember.

What if you started treating yourself with love and respect and see what happens?!
