It seems to be all the rage right now, I see it everywhere I look: Morning Routine!
I've been yapping about it for a while now and that's why I decided to hop on the train and throw in my 2 cents.
Having a morning routine matters. For real.
I started my journey about 140 days ago, when I read The Miracle Morning, a book by Hal Elrod.
When I first received the book as a gift, I read the title and quickly put it away. I mean ''How to transform your life before 8AM''...Ummm, No thanks!! Adèle just started sleeping through the night, there's no way I'm waking up early for anything!!
And then, I read the book... (Join the Team Journey to Health to watch the Facebook Live where I talk about it a little more.)
For the past 140 (or so), I've been waking up early to have some ME-TIME and start my day on the positive side!
Why does it even matter?
Let's say you begin your day with a ''Arrrgh, I'm so tired!'' and you roll out of bed, huff and puff on your way to the kicthen for your coffee, moan and bitch all the time you get dressed and do your hair, scream at the kids to hurry, rush out the door and want to cry before you walk in to work because you hate your job so much... OUCH! That is not a nice way to start the day, am I right?!
On the other hand, if you wake up a little earlier than everyone else, you get to hear SILENCE! You get settled and repeat positive affirmations, you move your body to get the energy flowing, you read a motivating book, you visualize a big goal or your next family vacation, you meditate and then you take out your journal and write from the heart. Doesn't this sound MUCH BETTER?! (Even if you have to wake up 30 minutes earlier? LOL)
There is enough negativity in the world, you can wait 1 hour before login on to facebook and seeing the bad news.
Your whole day will BE and FEEL different because of this morning routine. I promise!
I made the decision to do this for ME! Because I wanted more positivity in my life. Because I deserve to start my day right..and so does my kids!
Of course, it doesn't need to take hours, but making an effort to start your day right is a step in the right direction.
