I was having a discussion with my fiancé the other day, we were talking about ''insane'' fitness programs. I won't name names, but we all know those SUPER JACKED fitness programs that will push you further than your limits, make you tap out before you're done and leave you sore for decades.
The conversation went a little something like this:
''Of course people give up! They go for the program that promises them the best results, but, they forget to match their own capacity to the program.''
You try the program for one day and this is what you get:
- restrictive meals (''Shit! I don't have any of this at home!''),
- crazy workouts (''Wow! I totally suck at this!'')
- and sore muscles that seem to last forever (''If this is what my life will be life if I follow a healthy fitness regime - I QUIT!'')
That's it! One day, two days and you are done! You tried to push yourself too hard on the first try. Felt like a loser for not being able to keep up, so you decided that being healthy just isn't for you.
I'll keep eating those tacos and jiggle when I move - no biggie!
